We are excited to announce that SearchJet now fully supports JetEngine custom fields. If you use JetEngine to build dynamic content like listings, real estate properties, job boards, directories, or any custom post type, your visitors can now search across all of those fields instantly.
What This Means for Your Site
Previously, if you had custom fields created with JetEngine like property prices, job salaries, event dates, or directory categories, those fields were invisible to WordPress search. A visitor searching for 3 bedroom apartment under 2000 dollars would not find anything, even if you had 50 matching listings.
Now, SearchJet indexes every JetEngine field automatically. This means your entire dynamic content becomes searchable, from simple text fields to complex repeater groups.
Supported JetEngine field types include:
- Meta fields - text, number, date, textarea, and wysiwyg fields. Every piece of structured data stored in JetEngine meta boxes becomes searchable.
- JetEngine listings - dynamic content from listing grid items. If you run a directory or marketplace, visitors can search across all listing data.
- Repeater fields - nested content within repeater groups. Complex structured data like feature lists, pricing tiers, or specification tables become fully searchable.
- Dynamic fields - computed values from JetEngine dynamic functions. Even dynamically generated content gets indexed.
- JetSmartFilters compatibility - works alongside JetSmartFilters for hybrid search and filter experiences.
How to Enable JetEngine Search
Getting started takes less than 5 minutes:
- Install or update the SearchJet plugin to the latest version from the WordPress repository.
- Go to SearchJet Settings and then Index Sources in your WordPress admin.
- Enable JetEngine Custom Fields from the list of available sources.
- Click Reindex to scan your existing content. The process runs in the background.
- SearchJet will index all JetEngine fields automatically. Progress is shown in the dashboard.
Once indexing is complete, your search bar will return results from JetEngine fields alongside regular post content, product data, and taxonomy terms. No manual field mapping is required.

Real estate: Search by price range, number of bedrooms, location, property type, and square footage. A buyer can type 2 bed apartment Berlin under 300k and get instant results from your JetEngine-stored property data.

Performance and Reliability
SearchJet uses an AI-powered indexing engine that processes JetEngine fields without slowing down your WordPress site. Indexing happens on our servers, not yours. Your database performance is unaffected.
Search results return in under 200ms even for large directories with tens of thousands of listings. The AI relevance ranking ensures the most relevant JetEngine content appears first, not just the most recent.
